Magazine Final Drafts - updated plans

Front Page

Contents Page

Double Page Spread

Above are the final drawings of what I would like my magazine to look like. These plans are in correlation with already existing magazines which I used as the basis to draw these ideas up. I felt without the research I conducted the development of these final products would have been hampered as this work could have produced un-realsitic results, therefore not looking as if they are from my chosen genre. I have also added more detail to the diagrams, in order to show a clearer representation of what my final piece may look like.

Magazine second drafts and updated pieces

On the left hand side of each set of images, are my second drafts of my music magazine and on the right are my updated pieces.

I have now added images to all of the parts of my magazine, redesigned my formatting on my double page spread, in order to make the image captions look clearer and easier to read.

I have also added an image that I took of some graffiti, this adds another dimension of the contents page because it removes more dead space and adds another image to the page.

I also added my photos to the double page spread. I did not change the formatting of the page, because I was happy with how the layout looked and positioning of the images within the article.

Magazine First drafts and Updated pieces

On the left hand side of each set of images, are my first drafts of my music magazine and on the right are my updated pieces.

So far I have edited the Text fonts and colours on the front cover, contents page and double page spread.

I have also changed the layout on my front cover and correlated the information with the contents page. On my double page spread, I found that by making the background darker, makes the dead space seem less frequent and and the text stands out more on the page.

I also edited the gradient of the background on the double page spread, to make the effect of a light shining down from the top right hand corner of the page. This also makes the text easier to read.

Although I still need to add photos for all three documents, as I have completed all textually based tasks to do with each section of my magazine.
